We are hiring a Project Manager / Estimator based in San Salvador to support construction and infrastructure-related operations. The role combines estimating support, project coordination, document review, client/vendor follow-up, and disciplined execution tracking.
ROLE SUMMARY
The right candidate will help review project opportunities, prepare estimates, coordinate information, track commitments, and keep execution organized. This person must be detail-oriented, coachable, emotionally intelligent, and capable of communicating professionally with contractors, engineers, clients, suppliers, and internal leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Review scopes, plans, drawings, quantities, specifications, RFQs, and supporting documents
• Prepare estimates, pricing support, quantity takeoffs, and proposal inputs
• Coordinate follow-up with clients, suppliers, engineers, contractors, and internal teams
• Track project requirements, deadlines, risks, missing information, and next actions
• Support documentation, reporting, scheduling, and execution discipline
• Maintain organized records and communicate clearly in writing
• Help identify constraints, risks, and opportunities early
• Support operational decision-making with accurate information
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Strong communication skills in writing and conversation
• Emotional intelligence, coachability, and professional attitude
• High organization, accountability, and follow-through
• Experience or education in construction, civil engineering, architecture, project coordination, estimating, procurement, infrastructure, logistics, or related fields
• Ability to work with spreadsheets, PDFs, emails, drawings, and project documentation
• Ability to learn quickly and operate with urgency
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with MOP, FOVIAL, DOM, municipal projects, public infrastructure, public works tenders, roadworks, drainage, civil construction, earthworks, materials, or construction logistics
• Familiarity with El Salvador construction/public works environment
• Prior estimating, procurement, project coordination, or site documentation experience
• English professional working ability is a plus
