Descripción de la Plaza

The English Teacher Specialist will be working in conjunction with the Learning and Development Manager, the English Specialist is responsible and accountable for the management and development of Ria´s In-Company English Program, targeted primarily to Ria El Salvador employees; but also extended (online) to other Ria´s employees based in Chile, and Mexico.

Responsibilities:

• Determine learning contents/objectives based on diagnostic tests.
• Design curriculum, timetables, and courses according to students’ needs
• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons.
• Prepare teaching materials and any other learning resources (quizzes, visuals, handouts, projects etc.)
• Assess and monitor students’ performance.
• Keep students’ logs/reports such as: attendance, scores, performance, etc.
• Report students’ performance as requested (biweekly, monthly).
• Keep record of overall English classes (attendance, drop-outs, etc.).
• Organize additional learning activities for students (plays, projects, fairs, etc.).
• Support Training/HR in other tasks requested (screening, translating, etc.)

Qualifications:

• 3 or more years of professional teaching experience (at a school, academy/INSAFORP or university).
• Experience in online education is a plus.
• Experience in the Call Center industry is a plus.
• Excellent planning & time management skills
• Ability to deal with all types of people (learners) and all levels in the organization.
• Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) in Spanish and English. *
• Ability to use different teaching methodologies to enhance the learning process.
• Ability to manage both, online and in person sessions.
• Self-directed and independent with projects; but also, a good team player.
• Customer and business oriented.
• Bachelor’s Degree (in Education, Learning or another related field).

TOEFL PBT: 580+
TOEFLT IBT: 90+
TOEIC: 900+
IELTS: 8+
