Job Description
Bravo Consulting Group is seeking a hands-on Controller to own day-to-day financial operations and bring consistency, discipline, and visibility to our financials.
This role is focused on internal financial controls, project accounting, and cash visibility in a project-based consulting environment. The Controller will ensure our books are accurate, our cash position is clear, and our financial data is reliable and timely.
This is a critical internal role supporting leadership decision-making. It does not involve customer delivery.
This role requires prior hands-on experience using Unanet. Candidates without Unanet experience will not be considered.


Required Skills
- 5+ years of accounting or controller-level experience
- Hands-on experience with Unanet (required)
- Experience in consulting, professional services, or project-based environments
- Strong understanding of project accounting and revenue recognition
- Experience owning month-end close and general ledger accuracy
- Ability to close books consistently by the 10th business day
- Experience with AR, billing, and cash flow tracking
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of outcomes
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish


Desired Skills
- Experience supporting organizations with mixed revenue models
- Familiarity with cash forecasting and rolling 13-week cash flow models
- Experience supporting bank reporting or borrowing base certificates (BBC)
- Prior experience working with remote or distributed teams
- CPA or equivalent credential (a plus, not required)
- Experience improving or documenting accounting processes


Additional Details
Key Responsibilities Include:

- Own monthly close and ensure books are closed accurately and on time
- Maintain clean, audit-ready financial records
- Own Unanet financial hygiene, project setup, and billing alignment
- Oversee invoicing and support AR visibility and collections
- Maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast
- Support tax filings and coordination with external CPAs
- Manage 1099 preparation and filings
- Provide clear, usable financial reporting to leadership
- Coordinate with external Unanet consultants as needed for advanced support
